Rajnish Singh

Rajnish is a British citizen of Indian origin who has lived in Edinburgh since 1999. A passionate advocate for cultural integration and community empowerment, he has been actively involved in civic initiatives since 2002. Rajnish began his journey with the Scottish Indian Arts Forum in 2002, serving as Secretary (2008–2016) and President (2016–2020, and now continues as Patron. He is a founding member and current President of Edinburgh Diwali since 2020, Scotland’s only public Diwali celebration. He currently chairs BEMIS Scotland, and serves on the boards of ELREC, and on Edinburgh Hindu Mandir in past. His work consistently bridges cultural heritage with strategic leadership, fostering inclusion and civic pride
Professionally, Rajnish is an MBA-qualified IT Consultant and Project Manager, with experience across major corporate sectors since 2004. He lives in Edinburgh with his wife and their two daughters.

Ephraim is Director of the Jewish Council of Scotland (formerly the Scottish Council of Jewish Communities – SCoJeC), which he was instrumental in establishing at the time of Devolution as the democratic representative umbrella body for the entire Jewish Community of Scotland.

Trishna is founder and director of Sikh Sanjog, and has 35 years of experience in the community and voluntary sector in funding, training and organisational development. With a wealth of experience and knowledge in relation to ethnic communities and their needs. Continuously working to close the inequalities gap, especially in terms of disadvantage and exclusion relating to education, skills and training.

Jani Lang is a Hungarian/Roma musician and a resident of Scotland since 2005. He is a busy performing artist who earned his degree as a classical musician and after years of self study he became an expert of various traditional music styles.
He is Creative Director of Ando Glaso.

Ahmad is Chairperson of Scottish Inter-cultural Association (SIA), and his active participation in charity initiatives and public engagement reflects his deep dedication to community service and advocacy.
Micheline Brannan

Bio

Micheline is from Glasgow and has returned there after 40 years in Edinburgh where she worked for the Scottish Government on justice, interfaith and women’s issues amongst other topics. She was the Director of Social Justice, which covers the Equality Unit, before her retirement in 2007.
In 2008 she joined Napier University as a mature student, qualifying as a nurse in 2011, and she went on to practise nursing until retiring again at 60.
Micheline has served in various voluntary sector roles including being a Board member and Convenor of BEMIS. Micheline is an active member of the Jewish community in Scotland. Her extended family includes Italian, German and Indian relatives.
